At the MWeb'07
I returned today from Zaragoza, where I attended to the MWeb'07, a workshop on Mobile Web. I presented a paper (slides available). Actually, my presentation was the first one of this first edition of the workshop. I'm sorry at the moment there isn't an English translation of the paper, but I can summarize it as follows: we show how web forms can be semantically annotated using ontologies, and we exploit these annotations to build a tool that auto-fills the values in the forms using instances of ontologies such as FOAF. This application is useful in any environment, but it turns particularly welcomed in mobile devices, where typing text is usually a slow job.
I also met some interesting people at the MWeb, such as Rotan Hanrahan or Fernando Soriano. We had interesting discussions where I learned a lot from these and other experts.
