Producing open source software
Let's try to write a book review just to test my new blog. Yesterday I turned the last page of Producing open source software, by Karl Fogel. I respect this author because I really like his previous book, Open Source Development with CVS, although it is now a bit out-of-date. The new one is really good. It is targeted to the open source developers, but most importantly, to the managers of open source projects. You can judge by yourself, because the book is freely available on-line (see the previous link). If you buy the book, as I did, you won't be disappointed. It continues the line of The Cathedral and the Bazaar by Eric S. Raymond. Both are definitely worth reading.
